Gail Stockwell

B BHSc. (Mid), NZRM.

I am a midwife and a mother of two young adults. I have been a midwife since 2005. During this time, I have worked in both the hospital and the community as an LMC. I feel honoured to be in a position to help women and their families through pregnancy and birth.

I believe that pregnancy is a natural process and my goal is to help women to feel empowered to make their own decisions regarding their care. For some women hypnobirthing and a water birth in a birthing unit will be the right choice, for others it maybe a hospital setting and an epidural. Every woman is different as is every pregnancy and birth.

Kim Haley-George

Cert CBE, B HSc, B Mid, NZRM.

My mother was an obstetric nurse, and I grew up knowing that I shared her passion for working with mums and babies. I have 2 daughters, and whilst they were young I trained as a Child Birth Educator and taught antenatal classes for 5 years. I then completed my Bachelor of Heath Science at Massey University and moved on to my Bachelor of Midwifery at AUT.

I love my job as a midwife and have been working as a Lead Maternity Carer on the Hibiscus Coast since 2005, and have also worked as a staff midwife at Birthcare Parnell, and as Childbirth Educator on the Hibiscus Coast, Warkworth and North Shore.

Congratulations on, and welcome to, your pregnancy journey!

My name is Cath and I am a Hibiscus Coast local of 18 years, after moving from Auckland City to the Whangaparaoa Peninsula when my daughter was born in 2004. I provide midwifery care from confirmation of pregnancy through to six weeks postpartum for women across the Whangaparaoa Peninsula and from Silverdale to Hatfields Beach including Milldale, Millwater and Orewa as well as some parts of the North Shore.

I am happy to support you with your birth in whichever setting is the most comfortable and safest option for you, whether that is a home birth, in a primary birthing unit (Warkworth) or at hospital (North Shore). During your pregnancy there are many decisions to make and I am passionate about empowering women and their whanau to have fully informed choices by offering evidence based practice. I believe in pregnancy as a normal, physiological process of life and that your emotional wellbeing during your pregnancy and through your postnatal period, is every bit as important as your physical health. As such I will work with you to build confidence around your birthing choices and your early days as new parents.

If you have any complicated factors associated with your pregnancy, I work closely with the specialist doctors and midwives at Waitemata and Auckland DHBs to ensure that you receive seamless, continuity of care.

You can contact me on 022 425 4197 or email me at cathcopleymidwife@gmail.com to take the next steps.

Hi, Congratulations on your pregnancy. I have been a midwife for over 20 years, and have worked in a variety of settings, including primary birthing units, and hospitals and as an LMC. I love being a midwife and helping women/whānau with their child bearing experience. Assisting women to birth in a way that feels safe and empowering for them has always been a passion for me. I work in a group practice of like minded midwives who are also very experienced LMCs. I’m supportive of birth in various settings including Homebirth, Warkworth Birthing Centre, North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals (including waterbirths). Our Clinic is in Orewa House, Orewa. I am married with 3 children.
